When it's printed in Japan and found at Spotlight for $14.95 a metre.
There was a range of Liberty lookalike cotton fabrics at Spotlight this morning. Quite obviously an imitation of the fabric we know and love (but probably just different enough to get away with it).

The fabric I saw in Canberra was actually marked `Tana Lawn`-not`quite the quality of Liberty but isnt a lot of Liberty made in Japan these days?
I thought the designs were not as lovely but for little girls summer nighties it is lovely.
My `real Stash` dates back to 1965 and am very gradually using it up for my Granddaughters adn Patchwork-Bliss!!!

I must say i was bit shocked when I saw the range marked Tana Lawn.They have also a range of look alike Cath Kidston fabrics in there too.I imagine Spotlight are just like a certain childrens toy label that copies lovelingly handmade goods-see it/like it/pump it out on mass.Sad. I would rather go broke buying Liberty from Liberty I'm afraid.Ditto with Cath.
