Well hello there. It's been a while. 2012 is ticking along and I've been busy settling back into the term-time routine. Things are a little easier this year, as all the boys are now at the one school. Tom is our new boy this year and, so far so good. They are all happy.
And I'm happy too. Happy just pottering around at home. Buying and cooking delicious food. Trying new recipes.
Did you know you can measure your happiness? Here, take the test. How did you go?
Life's keeping me busy enough and I haven't ventured into my studio at all yet. I find it takes a good four weeks back at school after the long summer holidays to get back in the groove and on top of things.
Do you like my vintage typewriter? This belongs to my grandmother. I think it belonged to her parents. I learned to type on this beast. And beast it is - it weighs a whopping 15kgs.
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. I would have typed that 1000 times.

Well hello there to you too!
I agree completely that it takes a good four weeks to find the term time rhythm. We have school and pre-school this year which means I'm all over the place but the routine is quite nice after the summer freedom.
Your old typewriter is gorgeous!!
Nice to see you back here Kris :)
Happy pottering.

Hi Kristine,
I wish I had your wisdom. I have been feeling frustrated that it is taking time to get on top of things now that school is back. I will remember for next year.
My youngest has started school this year, and I will be doing two schools for another 10 years. However, it is worth it because both children are very happy.
I have done almost no sewing since late last year. So this week have written in my diary some times to get in front of my sewing machine.
What have you been cooking? I have been inspired lately by Jamie Oliver's 30 min cookbook.
Happy pottering too.

I love your old typewriter. Isn't it crazy that we worked just some years ago with such things?

The trick is sometimes still finding a ribbon for you typewriter!
My inlaws have one like that... but it's not one that they use any more. Just for decor. Remember when typeing was something you did in school? Now it's called keyboarding!
Hope your enjoying your time.

I found your lovely blog on Pinterst!! Isn't Pinterest a facinating thing. If it is a thing it is always changing. I really enjoy meeting bloggers from around our big world. I like in the States in Kansas--a wizard of oz girl. Come by for a visit sometime. Ann
