These look yummy Kris - unfortunately our school canteen and both the girls' schools are resolutely nut free and by that I mean all nuts not just cashews(Cordelia's school is also egg free)so these will have to be an at home treat for us.

These look lovely! German and Swiss cookie recipes are often nut based (though we favour almonds and hazelnuts) too. The taste often adds lovely, decadent flavour. These ones you feature look lovely...like dusted coins!
